Reporting into the AVP, Individual Life Pricing, you will support the Individual Life business function in pricing new opportunities. This covers a variety of duties including: building and reviewing models, setting assumptions, and analyzing results. In addition there is opportunity to support managing inforce business and conducting market research.

Your Job

• 
  Pricing new opportunities
  • Evaluate client initiatives to understand key risks and set appropriate prices
  • Build models to analyze profitability of potential deals
  • Summarize results and communicate to Senior Management
  • Review models built by others

• 
  Managing Inforce Business
  • Review existing business to understand drivers of profitability

• 
  Reviewing Models and Assumptions
  • Maintain model templates and develop tools to improve efficiency
  • Perform analysis of actuarial assumption updates

• 
  Conducting Market Research
  • Perform research on market trends among clients and competitors

Your Profile

• 
  Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Actuarial Science
• 5+ years of Actuarial experience in the life insurance/reinsurance industry
• FSA or near-FSA
• Insurance or reinsurance pricing knowledge preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience with actuarial software such as AXIS is a plus
• Exposure to one of SQL, R, Python nice to have.
• Technical proficiency (Excel skills required), with the ability and interest to learn new skills and successfully transfer existing skills to others in the group.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $174,351 to $192,704 plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
