The Long Beach Community College District is seeking a qualified individual for our current opportunity as an Application Integration Administrator in the Information Technology Services Department. The incumbent is responsible for the entire life-cycle of implementation activities, and requires a high level of independent judgment and decision-making throughout the implementation process. Incumbents understand the complexities of and tier infrastructure, analyze architecture and security issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting; identify performance bottlenecks, systemic anomalies, and provide administrative solutions where appropriate. Incumbents coordinate with functional leads, technical staff, and vendors to schedule and monitor processes that integrate other third-party solutions with the college enterprise and network systems. The Application Integration Administrator is distinguished from Network Administrator in that incumbents in the former class are experts in the full life-cycle of enterprise-class and tier applications whereas the latter class is an expert in the design, development, integration, and administration of the District's wired and wireless networks.

Duties

GENERAL PURPOSE

Under general supervision, installs, configures, updates, upgrades, and deploys enterprise-class and tier applications. Ensures application stability, integrity, and efficiency of operation. Coordinates outages for maintenance and upgrades, conducts performance tuning, and plans appropriately for the application’s end of lifecycle. Coordinates integrations and scheduled processes for third-party solutions with the college’s enterprise and network systems. Works closely with Information Technology Systems (ITS) functional leads, technical staff, and vendors to address and resolve systemic issues.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a closely related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing enterprise class and tier applications, full-stack web development, and SQL database management; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy.


Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements, and are deemed most competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.

An Online Written Test or Oral Panel Interview may be used to assess applicant qualifications. Test parts are determined by the size and competitiveness of the candidate pool.

The qualified candidates will be placed on an unranked list. Seniority points for internal existing LBCC employees and points for Veteran's credit will not be added. The unranked list will be submitted to the hiring authority for consideration.
