Position Description:

Key Job Responsibilities:

Create/maintain product schematic for Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

Perform circuit analysis and testing to ensure design meets requirements

Interface with component suppliers to insure selected components meet specified design

Create/maintain ECU Performance Document

Complete Electrical Peer and EMC Reviews

Ensure electrical design is compatible with manufacturing processes

Support functional safety work products associated with ISO 26262 part 5

Support PCB layout activities including floorplan and layout reviews

Manage component problems and/or supplier issues.

Perform/support development EMC testing

Resolve electrical design issues

Document and manage electrical design change requests

Job Qualifications (Required):

BSEE degree

Experience with hardware design

Experience in embedded control system design

Experience with microprocessor based applications

Electrical system testing experience

Electronics Lab skills using electronic test equipment and modification of electronic hardware

Technical problem solving skills with attention to detail

Strong technical documentation and verbal communication skills.

Familiar with common computer applications - word, excel, powerpoint, databases, etc.

Job Qualifications (Preferred):

Vehicle electrical system experience

Experience with Automotive Electronics Design and Verification techniques

Familiar with Automotive Functional Safety and the ISO26262 standard

Familiar with automotive cybersecurity - controller hardening
