Job Summary:

  • Establishes and maintains centralized personnel records.
  • Strives to improve personnel information systems to promote upkeep, storage and easy accessibility of personnel data when requested.
  • Safeguards all confidential information used during the performance of duties.
  • Prepares conditional offer packets for applicants.
  • Screens all applications.
  • Conducts initial interviews of applicants and recommends qualified applicants to the appropriate department supervisor. Schedules any additional follow up interview as necessary.
  • Conducts reference checks and initiates all background checks.
  • Initiates Conditional Job Offers and schedules pre-employment physical examinations.
  • Receives results from pre-employment physical examinations and background checks.
  • Schedules and conducts orientation of all new employees and completes all orientation paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION: Minimum high school education. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in human resources/personnel preferred. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration. Computer skills. Ability to type and operate a calculator.
