About the Role:
This role is a chance to learn first-hand the microbiological techniques, practices, and procedures used in a world class, ISO certified microbiology laboratory. This role is a supporting role that will assist the Laboratory and Senior Microbiologists with sample preparation, laboratory housekeeping, and data management and recording.
What you'll do:

Be responsible for lab cleanliness, duties include: waste control, glassware washing and disposal

Will perform daily media preparation and QC testing on the prepared media

Basic sample preparation- this position, once proficiency has been demonstrated, will assist in preparing the samples for analysis.

Based on proficiency, knowledge, and skills will perform routine microbiology analyses under the supervision of senior lab analysts

Will record and assist in the reporting of results
What you'll need:

Good understanding and practice of aseptic technique

Basic pipetting and plate pouring skills

Good attention to details

Good at following directions

Willingness to learn new techniques

Be able to accept critique and helpful instruction
