Overview:

4Twenty Market is looking for Budtenders to join our team in Oakland, CA. This is a full-time position with the schedule to include weekends. The hours for this position will be 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:30AM - 9:30PM. A Budtender is expected to work three to five (3-5) shifts per week and must be available weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays.

We are seeking talented individuals with a professional demeanor that love this industry. Applicants must have exceptional customer service skills and budtending experience is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to our customers and guests by creating an inviting experience.
• Receptionist duties: ID verification, inputting patient data, answering phones and online inquiries
• Cash and Card processing
• Following inventory handling protocols & organization standards
• Educate the customer regarding our products and their effects
• Assist customers with selection of products
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases using TREEZ platform
• Keep display cases/floors clean and ensure all products is fully exhibited
• Support the store experience by performing various operational tasks as needed
• Complies with all established company policies and procedures
• Participate in periodic staff cleanings and meetings
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to management
• Inform management if any product inventory is running low
• Be knowledgeable of any and all specials
• Ensure you and your uniform/clothing are clean and professional and you have all tools at your station prepared for your shift
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of customer data within area of responsibility
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned by any other Shift Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience in Cannabis culture is preferred
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Ability to Stand for Long Periods
• Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic
• Attention to Detail
• Precise Math Skills
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must submit and pass a Department of Criminal Justice criminal background check (LiveScan)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Have a valid California Medical Recommendation and a valid California ID
• English/Spanish speaking
• Authorization to work in the United States

Additional Skills:

• Ability to multi-task and time management
• Must be able to adapt to changes in work environment
• Must be detail oriented and take directions well
• Must have knowledge of medical cannabis, related vocabulary, and product offered

Working Conditions:

This position will work in an office/retail store environment with a controlled temperature and may have to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for data entry, some lifting, squatting, bending, some pushing and pulling.

Experience:

• Budtending experience (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 2 years
• Retail Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Starting Pay: $16 per hour, $17-$18 with experience
