POSITION SUMMARY:
Medical Receptionist performs insurance verification, check-in, check-out/cashier, appointment scheduling and medical records review/ update functions. Medical assistant performs patient communication, follow up set up and assists doctors. Needs to maintain great customer service and be a team player. Must be bilingual English/Spanish.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
Medical Assistant Diploma preferred
Sales background

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, insurance companies and other employees.

SKILLS
Incumbent must possess excellent computer skills and knowledge of office equipment. It is necessary to be a good problem solver and be detail oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods. Must have the dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.

Part time receptionist
Part-time highly responsible receptionist in a specialist office, few day per week about 20 hours per week between 8 am to 5:00pm with some flexibilities. This position is suitable only for a mature and responsible individual who looks only for part time with no benefits. It starts in Mid December, 2020.

Neurology medical practice in Bakersfield is seeking highly motivated Scheduler. Responsibilities include resolving patient questions per established policies and procedures, schedule patient consults and follow up appointments, route incoming calls as needed and completing medical paperwork in a timely manner. Prior medical office experience a plus, but not required. Must possess excellent written and communications skills and understand medical terminology.

The successful applicant will be an energetic team player who strives for customer service excellence and is willing and able to interact with all existing staff members in a fast paced environment. Applicants must be organized, computer literate, and able to multitask and problem solve. Duties and Responsibilities
‌* Answer incoming calls
* Communicate with the team and medical staff/ MA.
* Schedule and reschedules patient appointments
* Assists physicians, mid-levels, Medical Assistants, Front Desk staff and other staff capture all necessary information and input it into our EMR
* Telephone and fax prescriptions and refills to pharmacies as needed
‌* Schedule tests and off-site procedures
* Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
‌* Performs duties in an accurate and organized manner
