We are currently seeking a Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Consultant – Solutions Architect to support our national healthcare initiatives . The Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Consultant – Solutions Architect is a hybrid role with a focus on HIT, technical and thought leadership, architectural/engineering design, and client relationship building; participating in all aspects of a healthcare facility design lifecycle from early concept to activation. Serving as the expert in diverse technologies, this position will be part of a multi-disciplinary advanced consulting practice working with fellow associates and clients in a variety of capacities to increase the value of healthcare information technology (HIT) in the advancement and delivery of the patient/caregiver experience while improving outcomes.
Some key duties and responsibilities include:

Act as expert, liaison, and technical oversight for all HIT infrastructure subject matters in support of application/clinical leadership and design teams
-
Lead the HIT architecture and strategy process, define requirements, and create design and implantation plans for small and large HIT environments
-
Collaborate with IMEG colleagues across multiple disciplines to drive high quality solutions throughout project delivery
-
Make major design recommendations, major design decisions, calculate costs and propose time schedules with little input from senior staff

Coordinate design plans and schedules with engineering, clerical, and equipment suppliers
-
Review correspondence, maintain project design notebook, and provide documentation data for permanent project files
-
Meet with clients, prepare proposals and presentations, develop future projects, and maintain good client relations
-
Identify prospective clients and assist marketing, sales, and delivery teams in the development of new clients
-
Mentor, coach, guide, and assign design duties to junior staff
-
Act as an escalation point for all project resources

Further advance IMEG’s Advanced Consulting Services practice
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
-
Superior ability facilitating dialogue and presenting to C-suite customers
-
Experience in development of HIT infrastructure assessment, infrastructure/operational workflow, and program management documentation
-
Previous participation in the design and activation of an expansion, rehabilitation, or new healthcare service line/facility or medical education
-
Understanding or practical experience designing and implementing clinical communication solutions included but not limited to patient-to-caregiver, caregiver-to-caregiver, and medical equipment-to-caregiver
-
Knowledge and/or experience pertaining to solutions to improve patient and caregiver experience such as digital engagement and smart patient rooms
-
Practical experience with advanced data analytics, remote care, telehealth/medicine, mobile health, etc.

Understanding and practical experience with regulatory elements that include but not limited to The Joint Commission, HIPAA, HITECH, NFPA-99
-
Process improvement initiatives/methodologies such as Six Sigma, FMEA, DMAIC, etc.

Management of HIT infrastructure-based initiatives or programs including budget, scope, outcomes, quality, resources, and change management
-
Service and quality management exposures such as ITIL
-
Troubleshooting/resolving HIT business process, people, and technology related issues
-
Proficient in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education and experience requirements are:
-
Bachelors or master’s in engineering, computer science, informatics, or other healthcare related field
-
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
-
Diverse HIT knowledge and/ experience working in a healthcare organization or healthcare IT consulting firm
-
Minimum of 7- 10 years’ experience in Healthcare, Healthcare IT, or related industry
